Chocolate Black Bean Dessert

Ingredients:

1 can black beans (drained and rinsed)

1/3 cup honey

1/2 cup cacao powder

1/4 coconut oil (melted)

2 tbls vanilla

3 large eggs

Combine everything in food processor but eggs

Blend in eggs after the chocolate sauce is blended

Heat at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes in an 8×8 dish

Add nuts after cooling

Water and It’s Benefits

Recently I competed in my second figure competition and took on many new healthy habits. One was drinking a gallon of water daily. If you see me at work, I walk around with a cheap gallon container so I can plainly see how much I have left to drink. So why do I keep drinking water

1) Water will make you slimmer – Water revs up metabolism and helps you feel full. Replace calorie-filled beverages with water, and drink a glass before meals to help you feel fuller.

2) Water will boost your energy – If you’re feeling drained and depleted, get a pick-me-up with water. Dehydration makes you feel tired. The right amount of water will help your heart pump your blood more effectively.

3) Water gives you better muscle tone – Drinking water helps prevent muscle cramping and lubricates joints in the body. When you’re well hydrated, you can exercise longer and stronger without “hitting the wall.”

4) Water nourishes your skin – Drinking water hydrates skin cells and plumps them up, making your face look younger. It also flushes out impurities and improves circulation and blood flow, helping your skin glow.

There are many more, but let’s keep it short and simple. If drinking a gallon sounds too big to take on, then buy a half gallon container. Start there and increase every two weeks, until you get to the gallon.

INGREDIENTS:

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Spray a 9 X 13 Pyrex dish with nonstick spray.
  3. Combine first 11 ingredients and mix well.
  4. Add the oat flour, whey protein, almond milk, and walnuts, and mix until incorporated. Spread batter into the Pyrex dish and bake for 30 min.
  5. Makes 24 squares.
